No. 2 Battle Mountain took down No. 1 West Wendover, 50-43, to win the 2A North boys regional crown at Yerington High School. On the girls side, the magic ran out for Oasis Academy, which upset No. 1 Pershing County in the semifinals. No. 3 Yerington defeated No. 4 Oasis Academy, 48-38, for the regional title.
All four teams will compete in the Class 2A state tournament, which is Friday and Saturday at Wooster High School.
