Lowry wins 1st regional title in decade
Buckaroos capture 4 individual championships
FALLON – Lowry won the 3A Northern Region championship with four individual titles and 252 points. Elko finished second with 199.5, followed by Fernley with 192.5, Spring Creek with 180 and Churchill County with 147.
Lowry earned titles from Pete Bengochea at 113, Ethan Garcia at 126, Teyo Gomez at 138 and Terrance Mattson at 215. The Buckaroos added finalists Kruz Gomez at 132 and Randy Patterson at 190 and placed Carlos Gomez at 120, Bradyn Snyder at 132, Jayden Howard at 157 and Regan Kenner at 285.
Elko earned titles from Bradley Nelson at 106, Kody Goss at 157 and Hagen Robinson at 175. The Indians added finalists Aaron Goss at 120, Riott Duke at 157 and Hubert Sharp at 285 and placed Trey Jones at 113, Darren Foster at 190 and Pedro Mercado at 285.
Fernley earned titles from Nathan Pritchard at 144 and Isaid Solis at 150. The Vaqueros added finalists Archie Mendez at 106, Jayse Jones at 157 and Riley McCullar at 175 and placed Clayton DeGolyer at 113, Brayden Cruz at 138, Brody Jones at 150, Kayden Paredes at 165 and Max Torres at 175.
Spring Creek earned finalists Damon Tilger at 113, Colton Cunningham at 165, Skyler Mangel at 175 and Antonio Bautista at 215. The Spartans added placers Asher Windous at 106, Landon Conner at 126, Jared Tilger at 132, Col Williams at 157, Nick Lusk at 157, Giovanni Monroy at 165, Isaiah Mutte at 190 and Stephen Stewart-Jenkins at 285.
Churchill County earned titles from Braylon Byrd at 120 and Carson Melendy at 165. The Greenwave added finalists Manuel Barros at 120 and Trey Bradley at 126 and placed Evan Garcia at 138, Rio Segura at 144, Andre Green at 132, Alijah Juarez at 175 and Ashton McCourtney at 190.
Wooster earned a title from Xavier Glover at 285 and placed Kenet Paguada at 120, Caine Sae-Wong at 132, Andy Chavarria Morales at 138 and Mason Ottervanger at 150.
South Tahoe earned a title from Erik Burkett at 190 and added finalists Aidan Domaoan at 106 and William Causing at 144. The Vikings placed Elijah Carranza at 113, Conner Hennessee at 165 and Luis Salas at 175.
Truckee earned a title from Jack Ridgel at 132 and added a finalist from Keb Schnurrenberger at 126. The Wolverines placed Ace Pena at 113, Joe Giles at 126 and Ryder Boyd at 215.
Dayton placed Isaac Ervin at 190 and Kasen Barbee at 215.
Debbie Smith placed Rudy Hernandez-Soto at 126 and Steven Burlingham at 138.
Sparks earned a finalist from Travys Solis at 138.
